That the United States have been negotiating directly with Iran over its nuclear program has been troubling to many, but the latest news coming from Tehran may be even more concerning. In fact, it just might fuel conservative concerns that President Obama’s foreign policy is projecting weakness.

According to a report in Persian-language state-controlled media, which was translated by the Washington Free Beacon, Mohammad Reza Naghdi, the commander of the Basij, a paramilitary group operating under the wing of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps, claims U.S. officials have been “begging us” to sign a nuclear deal during closed door negotiations. He said, “Americans are begging us for a deal on the negotiation table.”
