In an ultimate sign of that the end may be near for the United States of America, a pair of children have been charged with starting a fire that caused millions of dollars in damage to a South Carolina business.

According to The Smoking Gun, an 11-year-old boy stole a lighter from a Columbia, SC, Walmart store on Dec. 31. With assistance from his cousin, a 13-year-old girl, he the little pyromaniac then set fire to the store’s greeting card aisle.

The ensuing fire caused significant damage to the store, which had to be closed for repairs. It has since been reopened. Thankfully, no injuries were reported. But, as a result of an investigation that included a review of surveillance camera footage, the dastardly duo each face a third-degree arson charge.
