Cruz returning to Iowa several more times in October

Beginning Monday, Republican presidential candidate U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz will be back in Iowa more often than he’s not throughout the remainder of October as part of an announced “ramp up” of his campaigning activity in the first-in-the-nation caucus state.

Next week’s three-day swing through Iowa will hit the Republican stronghold of northwestern Iowa, eastern Iowa, and east-central Iowa. It will culminate with a special screening of the movie “War Room” in Des Moines. His itinerary follows:

Monday, October 12
9:30 a.m. — 2031 Quail Avenue, Room P 59, Fort Dodge
Noon — Pizza Ranch, Party Room A, 102 Warner Street, Rockwell City
2 p.m. — Cede’s Bark Bistro, 519 Main Street, Sac City
7 p.m. — Western Iowa Tech Community College, 4647 Stone Avenue, Sioux City

Tuesday, October 13
3 p.m. — Beef Bread and Brew, 2601 Main Street, Keokuk
5:30 p.m. — The Port of Burlington, 400 Front Street, Burlington
8 p.m. — Pizza Hut, 900 N Grand Avenue, Mount Pleasant

Wednesday, October 14
8:30 a.m. — Dutch Country Inn, Lobby, 110 East Avenue, Kalona

Cruz will return to Iowa on Friday, Oct. 23, for a two-day swing through southwest Iowa. He will visit the communities of Glenwood, Sidney, Clarinda, Atlantic, Council Bluffs, Marshalltown, and Waterloo during the trip. He will return one more time Saturday, Oct. 31, to speak at the Republican Party of Iowa’s “Growth and Opportunity Party” at the Iowa State Fairgrounds in Des Moines, followed by an appearance at U.S. Rep. Steve King’s annual Col. Bud Day Pheasant Hunt.
