Enjoy the grass under your toes on June 25 and July 2 as we celebrate the final two shows of the 2015 Adjutant General’s Summer Concert Series at the historic Camp Dodge pool complex, 7105 NW 70th Ave., Johnston. This is the fifth consecutive season for the concert series, which is free and open to the public. All concerts begin at 7 p.m.

Concessions are available and coolers, picnic baskets and tailgating are also welcome. Guests are reminded to bring along their lawn chairs. In the event of inclement weather, concerts will be rescheduled, if possible.

The Iowa-based bands playing for this season’s final two shows include:

June 25 – Sidewinders, the Iowa National Guard’s 34th Army Band-pop and classic rock ensemble. Join us as we celebrate Military Heritage Night. Vintage military vehicles on display and a flyover by a vintage military aircraft scheduled, weather permitting.

July 2 – Tony Valdez Large Band, featuring Latin/classic rock. This show is rescheduled from June 11, which was rained out. Once again, the highlight of the evening is Patriot Night, so be sure to wear your favorite Red, White and Blue as we head into the 4th of July weekend!
