Grassley introduces Police Week resolution

Chuck Grassley Weekly Address 1From Press Release

U.S. Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA), Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, introduced a Senate resolution declaring May 10 through May 16 as National Police Week, which passed in the Senate by unanimous consent Monday evening.  Grassley today issued the following statement commending law enforcement for their work to serve communities across the nation.

“Law enforcement officers, from federal agents to state and local police, put their lives on the line every day to protect and serve our communities.  But sadly, some of these brave men and women pay the ultimate price for their vigilance, as we saw last week in Mississippi. This Police Week, we celebrate the lives of these heroes who have perished in the line of duty and commend those who put on the badge every day to help keep us safe.”
