Bill Watch: Focus will soon turn to budget

As the 2015 legislative session winds down to its final weeks, the number of new bills being created as slowed down tremendously. But, the number enrolled bills – those adopted by both chambers and sent to Gov. Terry Branstad for his signature – has substantially increased. House File 618 – an act to repeal the Iowa Election Campaign Income Tax Checkoff and the Iowa Election Campaign Fund.

House File 619 – a successor bill to House Study Bill 223.

House File 620 – a successor bill to House Study Bill 222.

House File 621 – a successor bill to House Study Bill 218.

House File 622 – a successor bill to House File 340, and to House Study Bill 24.

House File 623 – a successor bill to House Study Bill 213, and a companion bill to Senate File 479.

Senate Study Bill 1273 – an act to increase process-server fees that county sheriffs may charge.

Senate Study Bill 1274 – an act to increase birth certificate fees.

Senate Study Bill 1275 – an act to amend the sales and use tax and excise tax imposed on certain machinery, equipment, attachments, and replacement parts used in construction.
