Just when you think Obama couldn’t be more offensive

Obama Vox ChatBy The Iowa Statesman

Late last month, President Barack Obama took part in a “VOX Conversation” in which he fielded a number of softball questions from apologists Ezra Klein and Matthew Yglesias. The first part of the interview focused on domestic issues, while the second focused on foreign policy.

The headlines today focus on Obama’s hope that immigration will do away with conservatism. But, honestly, the entire interview is a mess of long-time liberal-socialist-progressive-statist talking points, complete with charts to “prove” they’re right.

For instance, the Republican vs Democratic response to the Bernhard Goetz, O.J. Simpson, and George Zimmerman verdicts are an indication of greater racial divide. Also, the Lubavitcher community in Postville, IA, is a “success story” for cultural integration. And, finally, since defense and foreign aid spending only accounts for 18.3 percent of the federal budget, we shouldn’t be concerned about how we spend that money.

Those are their words, not ours.
