Guess who’s coming

Another potential 2016 presidential contender is coming to Iowa later this week, according to published reports, which have been confirmed by the candidate-to-be’s staff. No, it won’t be another Republican, but it will be someone with high name recognition.

Vice President Joe Biden will be in Des Moines on Thursday to speak at both Drake University, and Des Moines Area Community College. Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton — despite a disastrous showing in 2008 — and U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Warren currently lead among likely Democratic caucus attendees, which may help explain the sudden diversion from Europe, where Biden has been the last several days, drumming up European support for additional sanctions on Russia and aid for Ukraine.
