Grassley releases weekly video address

Chuck Grassley Weekly Address 12U.S. Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA) used his weekly video address to discuss the Senate Judiciary Committee’s efforts to revisit juvenile justice programs. Grassley chairs the committee, and said the programs help local communities serve and protect at-risk youth.

“The Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Act was created 40 years ago to ensure the safety of youth who enter the criminal justice system and assist states with their juvenile justice programs and activities,” he said. “However, these programs haven’t been revisited in more than a dozen years. Today, the Senate Judiciary Committee passed legislation that I introduced along with Senator Whitehouse that provides a long-overdue policy refresh to these important tools.”
