The Gif Shop LogoTuesday morning, U.S. Sen. Joni Ernst did an interview with Iowa talk radio host Simon Conway in which she exposed her immovable support for the Export-Import Bank “because it will help small businesses.” Conway seemed baffled by the statement, and continued to grill her on the fact that one of the biggest arguments against the Ex-Im Bank is that more than 90 percent of its funding goes to large, global conglomerates.

Ernst didn’t seem to know that, but was undetered in her support for the Ex-Im Bank. The .Gif Shop staff wondered if she had stepped off from another planet, which inspired them to tell the story through the popular BBC program “Doctor Who,” which recently celebrated more than 50 years on broadcast television.
