Cruz announces Iowa campaign stops

U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), a candidate for the GOP presidential nomination, has announced a series of campaign stops to be held in Iowa later this week.

His first stop will be 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the UPS Auditorium at Morningside College in Sioux City. U.S. Rep. Steve King (R-IA 4) and former U.S. Senate and Iowa Treasurer candidate Sam Clovis will be special guests. Those who wish to attend are asked to RSVP by filling out this online form.

Later in the evening, he will appear on the opposite side of the state, speaking at 7:15 p.m. at the Dubuque County Republican Party reception at Park Farm Winery in Durango. U.S. Rep. Rod Blum (R-IA 1) will be a special guest at the event.

Admission to the event will include an artisan wood-fired pizza buffet. Tickets for the fundraiser are $100 for VIPs, $20 for general admission, and $10 for students.
