As much of the focus on donations to the Clinton Foundation of late has focused on donations accepted from overseas governments, including, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Oman, and even Canada, another donation has perhaps opened the eyes of quite a few conservatives.
According to The Wall Street Journal, the conservative news organization Newsmax last year pledged $1 million to the Clinton Foundation over a five-year period, according to a spokesman for Chris Ruddy, the organization’s CEO. Ruddy has been friends with the Clintons since 2007.
According to Ruddy’s spokesman, the donation wasn’t tantamount to an endorsement of Clinton’s potential campaign, although Ruddy thinks she would “make a great presidential candidate.”
